Hello!
I’m an Ecuadorian writer, born and raised in Miami. My interests include Gen Z and internet culture, gender and identity, climate, music and art. I also write frequently about travel.
I’ve worked at The Washington Post, Slate and El Nuevo Herald, and was a fellow at The Nation and Harvard Magazine. I’ve been a contributing writer at the Miami New Times, and have freelanced elsewhere. I was also a finalist in cultural criticism for the 2022 Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence awards in recognition of my work at The Harvard Crimson. In 2024, I was awarded a Lewis Scholarship by the National Press Club’s Journalism Institute.
I’m currently working as a freelance journalist while pursuing a PhD in Spanish-language literature at New York University. I previously received my bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, where I focused on ethnic studies and gender studies.
I live in New York with my mini schnauzer, Mora, whom I love very much.
